Sonny With a Chance‘s Tiffany Thornton has been accused of kidnapping her two young sons to prevent husband Chris Carney from seeing the boys. He filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department this week alleging Tiffany and his own mother conspired together.
Tiffany and Chris married in 2011 (with her costar Demi Lovato serving as a bridesmaid). They welcomed son Kenneth in 2012. Tiffany gave birth to their younger son, Bentley, on March 1. According to TMZ, Chris is concerned his wife is suffering from postpartum depression. He also told cops Tiffany is deeply religious and resents that he isn’t. He believes Tiffany is working with his mother, Ruth Carney… Who happens to be the mayor of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Tiffany’s representative Chris’ claims are false and are “being dealt with in the proper forum.” Another source added Tiffany took the children from the home for their own safety.
UPDATE Ruth Carney told TMZ her son has a drinking problem. After a recent stay in rehab, he relapsed and “went crazy.” She admitted to helping Tiffany pack up the kids and flee to Tiffany’s parents’ home in Texas. She said Chris knows exactly where they are.
Chris responded that he’s only a social drinker and his mom flipped out when she saw a beer in his fridge. He calls his mom an accessory to felony.
