Selma Blair arrested, hospitalized after allegedly attacking flight attendants, officer, and nurse
Actress Selma Blair was arrested and hospitalized after she allegedly attacked two flight attendants during a Delta Airlines flight. Selma was transported to a hospital and allegedly attacked an officer while en route, and a nurse after arriving.
The alleged in-flight incident took place while the Delta plane was headed to JFK Airport on Sunday.
According to dispatch audio obtained by TMZ, “officials requested medical personnel at the gate after reports of minor injuries, including a bloody nose and bite marks.” The site says “the dispatch audio notes the disruptive passenger apparently bashed her head against a bulkhead.”
The injuries to the flight attendants included a bite and a laceration. Blair was reportedly placed in restraints while still on the plane.
Officers were waiting when the plane landed and Selma Blair was placed under arrest.
“Law enforcement also tells TMZ when Blair was in the ambulance en route to the hospital, she repeatedly kicked a Port Authority police officer in the head.”
That still wasn’t the end of Blair’s rampage.
“When the ambulance reached the hospital, we’re told Blair allegedly assaulted a nurse, who has pressed charges,” TMZ reports.
Selma Blair has reportedly been charged with 2 counts of assault as a result of the attacks on the officer and the nurse.
In addition to the two assault charges by the state, TMZ reports that Blair is also facing a federal charge of “assault within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States.”
A rep for Selma Blair spoke with TMZ and claims “Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct.” The rep added that Selma was in stable condition at the time of the statement.
