Rihanna tweeted that she’s embarrassed about having to cancel last night’s Boston tour date over a bout of laryngitis.

She reportedly performed fine friday night in Buffalo, New York, but before Sunday her tour promoter Live Nation announced that they had to cancel a show due to illness. “Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor’s instruction is unable to perform this evening.”
In other Rihanna news, the singer opened up with Elle UK‘s April about all those controversial social media photos she puts up. While she defends herself for posting up photos of her marijuana use, she also says her mom made her feel humiliated about posting up nude pics (or having her best friend post up nude pics.)
“My mom, she went crazy on me. She called me two days ago and reeled me in about two naked pictures [my best friend] Melissa put up on Instagram – a sneak peek from a photo book she’s making about me. I was embarrassed. I felt like I got my ass whupped in front of my class in school! She said, ‘This was, like, a private moment and you’re just parading this around’. She humbled the f-ck out of me. I’m not afraid of any person in this world but her. I’m terrified of her!”
The photos her mom got so upset about were a couple of a Rihanna wearing furry headgear and drinking wine by the fire without pants on.
Rihanna may have been humbled by that, but she’s not embarrassed about all the photos she posts of herself smoking pot.
“I’m posting pictures of myself smoking pot to tell the truth about myself. I’ve got so much to think about, why bring all this extra s**t by being dishonest?
I Instagram everything about my life, whether it’s smoking pot, in a strip club, reading a Bible verse — how crazy, I know! — or hanging out with my best friend, who happens to be Chris [Brown].”
