Rapper Machine Gun Kelly arrested for inciting flash mob

Colson Baker arrested

Machine Gun Kelly is Diddy’s latest protegé and the up and coming artist is making a name for himself in the hip-hop scene. His latest stunt reflects not only his burgeoning popularity but also his bent for being on the wrong side of the law.

The 21-year-old took to his Twitter account and made the following post:

That all seems pretty harmless enough right? MGK, real name Colson Baker, was just looking to have a little fun with his fans by setting up a flash mob at a local mall’s food court. I mean this ain’t storming the courthouse or nothing kids. Well the problem comes in when MGK underestimates the intensity of his hometown fans as the following wonderfully entertaining video demonstrates. Check it out (adult language heads up)!

Man I was sold as soon as I saw the ridiculous costumes that Gun and his crew were wearing. The arrest came down when MGK refused to step down form a mall table, a moment you see played out in that clip. Diddy caught on to the MGK movement and realized the young man had a real voice and appealed to his loyal fans on a personal level. Diddy stated:

“He has just such a movement, just hundreds and thousands of loyal fans that came from the place he came from in different parts of the country. He wasn’t always the coolest kid in school, and just the process of growing up and the problems that they all encounter, they relate to him in such a way.”

Sounds a lot like the background of Eminem and if Baker can climb half that mountain he, and Diddy, will be doing just fine.

If you’re not familiar with Kelly’s flow (you’ll find out how he got the name Machine Gun), check out this most viewed clip of the artist from YouTube for the track “Chip Off the Block” (adult language heads up again) :
