Does “till death do us part” apply in this case? Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed, of Vampire Diaries and Twilight, respectively, tied the knot in Malibu on Sunday.
E! News reports the wedding took place just before sunset. They reportedly asked guests to contribute to an animal rescue charity instead of bring gifts. Pictures show Ian, 36, donned a cream-colored suit with blue tie and Nikki, 26, wore a lace mermaid-style dress with mid-length sleeves.

The newlyweds were first linked last July, shortly after Nikki split from her first husband, American Idol‘s Paul McDonald. However, a source told E! they’ve known each other for a long time and Ian was secretly “in love” with her for years.
“They’re so happy,” the source said after they got together. “They were crazy happy from the start. Their families love each other. It just feels really right.”
Nikki’s co-star Kat Graham echoed that in an interview with People last week.
“I haven’t met two people that were more of soul mates than those guys,” she said. “They literally are perfect – from their Humane Society work together to them wanting to make the world a better place. I mean, it’s really exciting when you see two people come together that are amazing.”
Ian and Nikki got to work on starting a family last summer by adopting a horse and kitten. They also share four dogs, one other cat and a second horse.
