Late last year Miley Cyrus revealed that she was choosing to abstain from weed, alcohol, and other drugs so she would think more clearly and focus on her work. Now, she says she does occasionally toke a little, thanks to her mom Tish who has dreams of running a weed farm.
She told The Sun that while she doesn’t smoke when she works, her mom has gotten her back in to the occasional indulgence.
Miley later joked with Sirius XM’s “Radio Andy” that her mom “smokes a lot of weed,” and often threatens to quit her job as Miley’s manager to go run a weed farm.
“My dad’s got a farm and she’s like ‘I’m just going to quit everything and grow.’ She’s my manager. So if my mom quits everything, that’s quitting me to go home and, like, grow weed. Which doesn’t sound like the best idea. … My mom could barely keep us alive. She’s not going to grow pot,” Miley quipped.
The singer also revealed that a dream inspired her to quit last her. “I had a dream that I would die during my monologue on ‘SNL’ for some reason; that I would just get so stoned that I just died, which I Googled and that’s never happened,” she explained. Even though no one’s ever died from a marijuana overdose, the dream spooked her enough to give weed a rest for awhile, at least while working.
This past weekend Miley performed on SNL with Mark Ronson with no hiccups.
