For the 2010 Emmy Awards In Memorium Jewel Kilcher performed the unrecorded song “The Shape of You,” a tune she wrote for a friend who died of cancer.
It was a song that sounded like old-school Jewel, who admitted to NBC’s preshow that it was a difficult song to sing because it was so personal.
