Is Mark Sanchez dating reporter Lindsay McCormick?
Page Six of The New York Post is reporting that New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez has set his handsome eyes on sports reporter Lindsay McCormick. So who is this young blonde bombshell that is the latest target for Mark’s deep in routes? Lets take a look at lovely Lindsay shall we.
From her biography page via her official website it says of McCormick:
Lindsay McCormick is a reporter and college football analyst from Houston, TX who has appeared on “ESPN Streak for the Cash” and “ESPN College Pick’em” on ESPN.com, the MtvU music countdown show “The Dean’s List,” “The Coach Roges Show,” “The Dugout Sports Show,” “The Tige Rodgers Morning Show” on Mix 96.7 as a guest analyst and as a sports reporter covering the Auburn University football team and NFL games for ESPN The Magazine.
She has also put together a hosting reel that is crammed full of Lindsay highlights. Here is that reel in full:
And here are two additional video of Lindsay from her YouTube account. In both she is getting down with some dance groove training. She is especially adept at the pop and lock, she did not reveal any ability to rock a dirty Sanchez however:
When asked by Page Six about these rumors McCormick attacked the issue head on like a Sanchez slant pass versus an all out blitz:
“I have known Mark for a number of months, and he is an acquaintance/friend, and anything reported as more than that would be false. Not to mention, I would never hear the end of the smack talk from my dad, who is a diehard Texans fan . So, as an avid sports fan, let’s allow Mark to place the focus where it should be — on the Green Bay defense.”
I have two problems with that statement. First thing is that it always seem a little shady to me when a woman says that a man is “just a friend.” Second she says her dad is a diehard Texans fan. This is an impossibility in that the Texans have not been in existence long enough for their to be such a thing as a diehard Texans fan.
The franchise was formed in 2002 making it a measly 8 years old. I hereby submit a new official rule in the sports universe that in order for someone to be a diehard fan of a team that team has to have been in existence at least 15 years. That means Lindsay’s old man has seven years before he can really be upset about his daughter dating a football player from a team other than the Texans.
In light of all of Brett Favre’s recent penis problems and Sanchez’s own team the Jets inappropriate actions with Inez Sainz I hope that Lindsay is telling the truth and that Sanchez is keeping his distance from all reporters. NFL players and reporters don’t mix in today’s media culture.
