14-year-old Hailee Steinfield continues to take Hollywood by storm! In addition to her powerful and commanding performance as Mattie Ross in the Coen brothers’ adaptation of True Grit, Hailee is also a bit of a fashionista, having helped design her own dress with designer Marchesa.
Being so young is often a difficult challenge for actresses at these sorts of events because critics are so quick to criticize for dressing too maturely, looking too young, or looking too old. But, Hailee Steinfeld received unanimous accolades for her fantastic age-appropriate and elegant look!
She explained in her E! red carpet interview that she drew up the original design for the dress and then worked with designer Marchesa to make her vision a reality – and she couldn’t have been happier with the end result.
Neither could I.
In addition to the wonderful Marchesa dress, Hailee was sporting Fred Leighton jewels with a Ferragamo clutch and shoes.
