Gwyneth Paltrow won’t stop talking about her marriage troubles

It’s no secret that Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin of Coldpay haven’t always had a fun time being married. In fact, these days that’s about all Gwyneth will talk about with the press! What’s going on here?

Here are some of the things Gwyneth has revealed about her marriage troubles with her husband of 10 years:

March 2013:

“Regardless of what happens in our marriage, I chose the best father. We are committed co-parents.”

People Magazine, April 2013:

“I never make him fell hemmed in or like he’s in trouble. And on a personal level, as friends, we really get along. We really laugh, and we’re super into our kids. There’s a good foundation. I mean we’ve gone through some terrible times where it’s been really, really hard, but I’ve sort of come through those times with a much deeper understanding of myself. And we’re still married. We worked through it. I think it’s easier to get divorced. But I think the more you can keep at it, the more you end up seeing the value in it. But man, sometimes it is not easy.”

She told Glamour U.K.‘s June 2013 issue:

“It’s hard being married. You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We’re the same as any couple,” she says of her 10 year union to the sexy Coldplay singer.

“I asked my dad once, ‘How did you and Mum stay married for 33 years?’ And he said, ‘Well, we never wanted to get divorced at the same time.’ And I think that’s what happens. When two people throw in the towel at the same time, then you break up, but if one person’s saying: ‘Come on, we can do this,’ you carry on. I’ve learned more about myself by being married than anything else. I hate to say, ‘We’ve got it worked out,’ because you never know what’s going to happen, but we laugh, we’re good friends, we like to do the same stuff.”

“I’m a very grounded, homey person, and Chris is a very mad scientist, genius songwriter,” she adds. “So I never say, ‘Where are you? You should be home by now.’ I never place demands on him because I think he’s a really talented man and he’s putting something good into the world.”

Gwyneth and Chris have been raising their children Apple (8,) and Moses (6) in London, but Gwyneth has expressed a desire to raise them for a while in California, where the couple just bought a home. She told Harper’s Bazzar: “Just to have my kids be in the sun every day – picking avocados, going for a swim. Even for two years or something, and come back when they go to senior school.” Obviously they’ve been through some rough times, and it takes some guts for Gwyneth to talk about it. Hopefully, as she’s said, they’ve learned some things through the process and can enjoy each other’s companionship for years to come. If not, that’s fine too. Sometimes it’s just better for two people to be apart.
