Bravo’s Jackie Warner arrested after pantsless crash, was Ambien to blame?
Bravo reality star Jackie Warner was arrested Friday night after she crashed her car into a pole and then nearly hit a police officer while attempting to flee the scene. Jackie, who was not wearing pants at the time, is reportedly claiming that she was “sleep driving” after taking an Ambien.
According to police sources, Jackie smashed into a police vehicle while backing up after her initial accident, nearly hitting a deputy, who had to jump out of the way. She was later arrested and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $60,000.
From TMZ:
Sources connected with Jackie tell us she went to lunch that afternoon and had 1 martini. She took an Uber to and from the restaurant. The sources say when she got home she took an Ambien, went to sleep, and when she woke up she was in the hospital … with no recollection of driving.
Seemingly casting doubt on the one martini claim, police sources tell TMZ that Jackie was administered a breathalyzer test and she blew right around a .08, which is exactly the California limit.
Jackie was a celebrity personal trainer and starred in the Bravo reality series Work Out for three seasons from 2006-2008. According to Bravo, “she left amid controversy she’d created after she made unkind comments about a fitness model and breast cancer survivor who was working out in her gym.”
Jackie later returned to the Network two years later as part of their Thintervention series, which only lasted one season. Just prior to taping the show, and during filming, Jackie was really struggling in her personal life.
From Bravo:
She sold her Beverly Hills gym, Sky Sports and Spa, and decided to swear off reality TV as she “fell into crisis,” she writes on her new website. “To be honest, I felt a bit lost and started partying a lot. It felt like I was taking a few steps backward in life and I started making bad decisions.”
“I looked in the mirror one morning and realized that I did not like the person that I had become,” she adds. “I could no longer hide the fact that MY decisions were causing me unhappiness.”
Jackie realized she needed to accept responsibility for her actions and devise a plan to pull herself out of her misery. “I quit drinking for a year and I quit dating for a year,” she continues, adding that she prayed for guidance every morning and night and cut “almost everyone” out of her life including friends, business partners, managers, lawyers. She also started writing poetry, painting and even making music (she released Valkyrie, a five-song EP of dance music, in December 2014).
In addition to her experiences with reality television, art, and music, Jackie has published three books: This Is Why You’re Fat (And How to Get Thin Forever), 10 Pounds in 10 Days: The Secret Celebrity Program for Losing Weight Fast, and This Is Why You’re Sick and Tired (And How to Look and Feel Amazing).
Jackie, who is very open about being lesbian, announced in 2015 that she was taking fertility treatments in hopes of having a child.
Jackie has yet to address her arrest publicly.
