Hollywood superstars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have released their first joint statement to the press about their divorce.

This newly united front indicates that the pair are willing to keep the details of their split private in the interest of their six children:

“The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues.”

Pitt and Jolie have been engaged in a publicly acrimonious war of words since news of their divorce made headlines.

“The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.,” Monday night’s statement concluded.

The actors currently have a temporary custody agreement which allows Pitt to have supervised visitation with his kids.
