Bethenny Frankel recently revealed that she had lost her second child with husband Jason Hoppy. Bethenny found out she was pregnant just months before she was due to move to Los Angeles and although the pregnancy had not come at the most ideal time, she was thrilled to be giving Bryn a sibling. The reality star was devastated to lose the baby.
“It can be different for everybody,” Bethenny told her audience of the heartbreaking loss. “For me, it’s that I’m older. I’m 41. That was ringing in my head and that it’s high-risk. But, I’m lucky to have my first child.” Bethenny tried not to get too excited about her high risk pregnancy, but when she found out that she was having a girl, she immediately started dreaming of Bryn and the new baby “running around” together. “I was picturing [my daughter] Bryn with a little sister. Two little girls in rain boots!” she revealed.
Bethenny added, “You go through a roller coaster of emotions. About your age, about being a woman, about can you have another baby, are you a failure to your partner, about what if my husband married someone younger — you go through a million different things.”
Bethenny is thankful for the women in her life who have rallied around her during this difficult time. “It was really just something that women were so supportive [about] and it was great to kind of go through that with other women,” she said. “It’s not really about me and my experience it’s just kind of about being able to talk about it and women knowing that it’s so common and it’s not their fault.”
