VIDEO After a leak at Comic-Con, Warner Bros releases the official trailer for Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad is one of 2016’s most anticipated theatrical releases. The plot? A “secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency.” Sounds…creepy.

With a cast that includes Will Smith, Jared Leto and Cara Delevingne–and a story straight out of someone’s nightmares–the movie’s had fans have been chomping at the bit for a glimpse.

For a lucky few at this weekend’s Comi-Con, that wish became a reality: Warner Bros. provided a sneak peek in the form of a teaser trailer. And, not surprisingly, someone at the show recorded the trailer and leaked it online.

Warner Bros. was none too happy when they learned a poor-quality, bootleg trailer was floating around the internet. In response to the leak, the studio decided to release the official, high-def trailer earlier than originally planned.

Enjoy!

Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
