VIDEO Bill Rancic’s parenting philosophy and why he thinks we’re raising wimps

Bill Rancic's parenting philosophy

Although Bill and Giuliana Rancic welcomed baby Edward Duke less than one year ago, the parents already have a plan for his teenage years.

“When he wants a car he’s going to have to get a job like I had to do and like you had to do,” Bill said in an interview for Larry King Now. “I think we’re really coddling these kids way too much. They need to fall down and scrape their knee.”

Bill, who won the first season of Donald Trump’s notoriously cutthroat Apprentice, added he has a theory on how American children are raised.

“Kids are given so much and parents are always making excuses. It’s the teachers fault, it’s the coaches fault, it’s the other kids fault in the classroom,” Bill said as Giuliana nodded in agreement. “By the time these kids are adults they have never had to take any accountability.”

Last winter, Giuliana ignited an interesting conversation about what should be parents’ biggest priorities.

“For us, I find, we put our marriage first and our child second, because the best thing we can do for him is have a strong marriage,” the new mom said.

Bill’s latest stance is sure to draw opinions from both sides of the parenting fence. Tell us what you think in the comments section.
