After a back injury ended his lackluster run in the Euroleague, Lamar Odom is back in the States — and focused on the new goal of reconciling with Khloe Kardashian.
“I want to make it work with Khloe,” Lamar told InTouch on March 16.
Lamar was in New York City for physical rehabilitation during the interview, but he plans to go home to Los Angeles in the near future — and was determined to meet with Khloe in person.
“I’m going to see Khloe,” Lamar said. “I’m going to see her soon.”
Lamar first expressed his hope to reconcile in February.
“Who knows? We don’t know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife.”
Although Khloe seems to be moving on, family insiders told InTouch that she’s actually softening to the idea of a reconciliation — particularly after a recent discussion with Lamar.
“He confessed his feelings and cried his heart out to her on the phone,” the source said of a phone conversation between Lamar and Khloe last week. “She’d been avoiding his texts and calls for weeks, but when she heard him pleading with her to take him back, she melted.”
Another source told Us Weekly Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner still care for Lamar and are concerned by his new injury.
“They are talking,” the source said last week. “It is amicable. Khloe and Kris both said they are here for him if he needs anything.”
There’s no word from Khloe at this point. But, she seemed to hint at the situation with a March 16 Instagram message: “I declare I will live as a healer. I am sensitive to the needs of those around me. I will lift the fallen, restore the broken, and encourage the discouraged. I am full of compassion and kindness. I won’t just look for a miracle. I will become someone’s miracle by showing God’s love and mercy everywhere I go. This is my declaration.”
