It’s fine, Kelly Clarkson fans… She says you can all stand down after controversial British TV personality Katie Hopkins made rude comments about the singer’s weight.

The non-drama (at least, as far as Kelly is concerned) started last month when she appeared on The Graham Norton Show in the U.K. Katie, who has been called the most-hated woman in the country for her taboo takes on topics, caught the show and tweeted, “Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen. #grahamnorton.”

People quickly called Katie out and noted that Kelly had a baby less than a year ago, but Katie didn’t back down.

She also took to TV, where she called Kelly a “chunky monkey.”

“She does look like she’s eaten her backup singers,” Katie said on Entertainment Tonight. “My advice: she needs to get out there with her stroller and do some pushing and get some of that weight off.”

But, Kelly said she really doesn’t care what the random viewer thinks.

“She’s tweeted something nasty about me? That’s because she doesn’t know me. I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will,” Kelly told Heat Magazine. “I’ve just never cared what people think. It’s more if I’m happy and I’m confident and feeling good, that’s always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family – I don’t seek out any other acceptance.”
