Fallout following Stephen Collins child molestation confession continues
The fallout has been fast and furious for 7th Heaven actor Stephen Collins after the bombshell audio of him admitting to molesting and/or exposing himself to young girls was posted today.
Details have emerged in relation to the woman who triggered the current investigation by the NYPD. According to law enforcement sources, she stated that she would sometimes stay with Collins and his wife in the guest room at their NYC apartment when she was 10-years-old.
She said he would wander into her room after a shower in just his towel. On numerous occasions she claims that he exposed himself to her and several times he placed her hand on his penis, adding that he would also touch and rub her.
She said she would often thwart Collins by pretending to be asleep.
She contacted Collins’ wife, Faye Grant, in 2000 via an anonymous letter warning her that he was a child molester. In 2011, Grant reached out to the woman after Collins had confessed to Grant that he had sexual contact with the girl.
In an email obtained by TMZ, Grant wrote, “Stephen lied when confronted 12 years ago. He said he had a hole in his holey jeans, as was the style then, and you must have seen his genitalia one time.”
The report indicates that the woman will cooperate fully with investigators.

LAPD had launched an investigation into allegations of molestation on Collins in 2012 after receiving the same audio, in which he mentions a girl from his Los Angeles neighborhood, but had closed it out. Now they have reversed course and are looking to see if they “missed anything.”

The former 7th Heaven star was also the national co-director of The Committee for Stress-Free Schools, part of The David Lynch Foundation. When contacted – an official with the foundation stated that Collins had called and requested to be removed from his position a couple of years ago. He still appeared on the website and was listed as co-director, but he was promptly removed.

In addition, Collins maintained a position on the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild, but he resigned that post following the story from TMZ.
