Michael Ventrella won Biggest Loser Couples by shedding over half of his original weight of 526 pounds, finishing up a svelte 262 at Tuesday night’s weigh-in. Not only did Michael set the record for the heaviest contestant to ever participate in the nine seasons of the show, but he also broke Danny Cahill’s weight loss record of 239 pounds from last year!

A new season of The Biggest Loser kicked off Tuesday night, marking the beginning of the ninth season of the popular weight loss show. As usual, producers on the show continue to raise the bar and this season features not only the heaviest starting cast of 22 contestants, but it also features the single heaviest contestant ever – 6ft 3in, 526-pound Michael Ventrella from Chicago.
