Lifetime’s Petals On the Wind movie first photos and premiere date

Lifetime’s movie adaptation of V.C. Andrews’ best-selling thriller Flowers In the Attic was a HUGE success when it premiered to well over 6 million viewers back on January 18, and today the network announced that the sequel, Petals On the Wind, will be making it’s debut on Memorial Day weekend with Rose McIver, Wyatt Nash and Bailey Buntain taking on the roles of the older Dollanganger siblings! Lifetime also announced it has already committed to three more V.C. Andrews projects, two from the Dollaganger series and one standalone.

Back in July Lifetime sent shivers of excitement down the spines of V.C. Andrews fans when the network announced it was going to make a movie based on the author’s iconic 1979 novel Flowers in the Attic starring Heather Graham, Ellen Burstyn, Mason Dye and Kiernan Shipka. Lifetime to make Flowers in the Attic movie starring Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn

One of the most popular young adult novels of all time looks to be getting the Lifetime Original Movie treatment as Deadline reports the network has given the greenlight to Flowers In The Attic by V. C. Andrews. According to the site, Lifetime already has two huge names attached to the project with The Hangover‘s Heather Graham slated to play the children’s mother Corrine Dollanganger, and multiple Academy Award nominee Ellen Burstyn (The Exorcist, Requiem for a Dream) set to take on the role of the grandmother (and attic owner) Olivia Foxworth.
