More than two years after he was paid $65,000 for his Oscar-nominated role in Captain Phillips, actor Barkhad Abdi is reportedly out of money. A new feature story said the actor depended on studio loans and goodwill to get through award season.
Captain Phillips is a really good movie, and the last scene was absolutely phenomenal acting on the part of Tom Hanks, but for most of the movie you could argue that he was upstaged by Barkhad Abdi, who played Muse, the head Somali pirate. Is Barkhad Abdi from Somalia?
