“Dinner is served, President Obama,” are the words Gwyneth Paltrow will soon being saying when she hosts the Democratic National Committee at her home in Los Angeles on October 9th. And you thought she was just an actress!

Tickets for the event cost between $1,000 and $32,000! But what will a $32,000 ticket get you besides one heck of a meal you ask? According to The Daily Mail, “Donors of $15,000 also get a photo and dinner, while donors of $32,400 also receive a co-host greeting and a name on the official invite.” The event is said to include a Q&A session with The President.

But why a fundraiser now? “The fundraiser comes ahead of November’s midterm elections amid suggestions that the Democrats, whose control of the Senate is hanging in the balance, need more hard cash to take on the Republicans,” the article goes on to explain.

This isn’t Gwyneth’s first Presidential Rodeo. She held a fundraiser back in 2012 for President Obama’s re-election campaign. It looks like Gwyneth, and her famous friends with large chunks of cash, helped President Obama win his second term.

Denzel Washington, Demi Moore, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Drew Barrymore are just a few of the looooooong list of A-Listers who endorsed Obama during his 2012 re-election campaign. After all, Hollywood’s notorious for being a democratic playground, and celebrities haven’t ever been shy about showing their support for the 44th president.
