Saturday Night Live funnyman Andy Samberg had a diamond in a box surprise instead of that other “item” he’s famous for, as he and longtime singer/songwriter girlfriend Joanna Newsom have become engaged.
Samberg’s rep confirmed to People that the couple, who’ve been an item for 5 years, are officially engaged.
Andy has wrapped filming for the upcoming comedy The To Do List and will also be starring in the upcoming film Grown Ups 2 as well as lending his voice work to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2.
Newsom is a an accomplished performer in her own right with her album Ys widely considered one of the best albums of the last decade.
