Kristen Storms, who starred in Disney’s Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century movies, secretly got married in June and is expecting her first child with new husband, Brandon Barash.
“We’re having a little girl in January,” Brandon revealed to People. “It’s been the most amazing couple of months of our lives.”
Kirsten has also confirmed the news on social media. She shared a picture of her impressive wedding ring and tweeted her appreciation for well wishes. (Some fans have suggested she name her baby “Zenon,” considering she will be a girl of the 21st century!)
Kirsten and Brandon — who met while working on General Hospital — were intentionally secretive during the early stages of her pregnancy. The 29-year-old actress suffers from endometriosis and checked into the hospital multiple times during her first trimester.
In spite of the complications, the couple is thrilled to have conceived on their own.
“We talked about wanting to have kids and Kirsten was told she could try hormone therapy. It was pretty bleak as far as the probability of her being able to get pregnant… but then we got back from a trip to Amsterdam and discovered we were expecting. We calculated that we conceived the baby in (General Hospital star] Tony Geary‘s guest room!”
Now in her second trimester, Kirsten is beginning to show — albeit not enough to match up with her General Hospital character, who is due to give birth this week.
“Her curves have just taken over,” Brandon swooned. “It makes me love her even more. It feels like a fairytale — we are so lucky.”
