Young Jeezy arrested after deadly Wiz Khalifa concert shooting
Rapper Young Jeezy was arrested Sunday following a deadly shooting that happened during a Wiz Khalifa concert in Irvine, California.
Jeezy, real name Jay Wayne Jenkins, was one of six people busted on weapons charges after 38-year-old Eric Johnson was shot to death backstage.
Lt. Saul Jaeger of the Mountain View Police Department said:
“Six people, including Jenkins, were arrested at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, California, on Sunday for possession of an assault riffle.”
The gun was found on a tour bus after a search warrant was authorized. All 6 arrested were cooperative and no arrests have been made for the murder.
Jeezy had bail set at $1 million.
Johnson, who was shot multiple times, was rushed to a nearby hospital and died from his injuries.
