The Situation sued for his addiction to prescription drugs

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino thought he had put his drug use behind him, but now it looks as though its coming back to bite him in his perfectly toned butt. A Florida weight loss company is suing the Jersey Shore star for lying to them about his addiction.

According to TMZ, Performance Brands is claiming that a deal was made between them and Sorrentino back in September of 2011. Shortly after that time, they paid Sorrentino and company a $75,000 advance. The brand adds that Sorrentino had agreed to provide them promotional material, give the company shout-outs on his social media accounts, and make personal appearances on the brand’s behalf. Performance Brands claims that Sorrentino didn’t hold up to his end of the bargain — and that’s not all!

Performance Brands is also alleging that right after they sent him his advance, Sorrentino checked into rehab for a problem he denied he had. They claim he lied to them about his addiction to prescription drugs but later fessed up. Now, they want all of their money returned and are suing for breach of contract.

Sorrentino has gotten word of the suit and is fighting back with his own counter-suit. He is claiming that Performance Brands failed to give him a marketing plan on-time, advertise in national magazines, or give supply free samples to him of the anti-fat cream.

Performance Brands denies Sorrentino’s claims.

Is it just us or does it seem like Sorrentino always has a lawsuit on his hands? The guy can’t catch a break! In the last 13 months, Sorrentino has been sued by Serious Pimp, his former managers, and now this. Sorrentino isn’t completely innocent though, he’s sued just as much — he even sued his dad for exploitation.
