Wave of Money: Frank Black tells it to us straight
The Pixies headman Frank Black, who performed as Black Francis for years before he struck out on a solo career, reunited with his former band last summer at the Isle of Wight festival for a memorable 80-minute set that rocked the festival and left hungry Pixies fans weak with pleasure. It went so well that that the group stayed together for a string of fall ’09 tour dates, and apparently not only were the fans excited, but the price was right.
