Gina Liano made her Bravolebrity debut this year as one of six ladies from The Real Housewives of Melbourne, and her flamboyant style combined with a no-nonsense attitude have made her a perfect fit for the franchise.
Gina is 47, has two sons, works as a lawyer (or, as they say down unda, a barrister), and has been divorced twice. But don’t say she’s unlucky in love because the Aussie is currently in a serious yet “geographically impossible” relationship with a man she refers to as her “partner”. This vagueness has created quite a mystery and has left viewers wondering, “Who is this guy?!”
His name is Dean Giannarelli, a successful businessman who lives in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dean is the president of AU1 Property which, according to their website, is a “leading US-based real estate investment and development company”.
Even though he currently lives in the U.S., Dean is a born and bred Australian hailing from Melbourne.
Dean’s profile on his company website describes him as:
An outcome driven businessman. He has operated successful companies in various industry sectors both locally and internationally. He is an astute planner and a highly regarded financier. In particular Dean has more than 25 years experience in property acquisition and development. His projects have spanned those that take years from acquisition to completion – and those which turnaround relatively quickly. Describing the business as operating in the upper middle sector, his role is one of complete control over all aspects of each project – priding himself on effective negotiation and speed of execution.
According to Dean’s Facebook page, he has four children, Dion, Clarissa, Barbra, and Lisa. His son, Dion, is listed as “Vice President of US Acquisitions” for his company and appears to enjoy the life style that goes along with being a young VP. His Instragram proudly states:
“Welcome to my world !! A life many want, A life few have and the ones who live in it know one thing, the life we live once is enough !!”
While it’s unclear just how the two lovebirds met, we know their relationship hasn’t been without complication.
Drama erupted earlier this season when Gina asked co-star Jackie Gillies for an impromptu psychic reading and posed the question, “Has my guy got another woman over there?”
Jackie responded with, “What do you think?”
Surprisingly, Gina said yes and Jackie finished with a simple, “Well there you go.”
Shortly after the reading, Gina hopped a plane to the U.S. to see Dean but returned to Australia days later as a single lady. She claims the break-up had nothing to do with Jackie and her comments about Dean seeing other women.
Since that time, Gina and her beau have rekindled their romance despite being, literally, oceans apart. Even though the two seem happy to be together, marriage doesn’t seem to be in the cards. “I don’t think marriage is what either of us needs,” she said.
It’s impossible to talk about Gina without commenting a bit on her unique look. It’s safe to say she is unlike any Housewife we have seen before! Between the huge hair, sprayed perfectly in place, to her accessories impeccably color-coordinated with her sequined dresses, to her spray tan and makeup that would make even RuPal jealous, some have been comparing her look to that of a drag queen, even her cast mates!
“The difference between this drag queen and Gina, is that one is taller.” said cast mate and friend Janet Roach. Jokes have also been made during the show that Gina’s favorite movie is The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, which stars two transvestite drag queens and a transsexual woman!
