Country crooner Jason Aldean is engaged to girlfriend and former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr.
The “My Kinda Party” singer proposed to Kerr at the San Diego Zoo yesterday.
Aldean’s romance with Kerr has brought him a lot of criticism as their relationship was first revealed when he was caught kissing her while still married to the mother of his two children, Jessica Ussery.
The 37-year-old has gotten sick and tired of all the negative feedback on the subject as he recently told Billboard:
“It has been two years of this sh*t. Get over it, already! And then when I finally do get enough of it and say something, every newspaper grabs it. And I’m not trying to get in the headlines — I’m just trying to get people to stop running their mouths.”
This will be Aldean’s second marriage and the first for Kerr.
