Shawna Craig just might have the best reality TV cast bio ever.
We filter through an awful lot of biographies of soon to be possibly somewhat famous people who are set to appear on upcoming shows. When I came across Shawna’s blurb for Second Wives Club on E! it checked off so many items on an “of course this person was cast” list that I felt compelled to share!
It seems like just about every person featured on a new reality show has less that three degrees separation with someone from The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Dancing with the Stars or some combination thereof. Shawna certainly does as she’s the stepmom of Season 12 popular Bachelor contestant Shayne Lamas.
Another frequent target is some kind of link to someone who has gamed notoriety via the internet. Shawna has that on lock too as she’s the stepmom of The Dirty’s Nik Richie. Richie and Shayne wed in 2011.

Shawna Craig made headlines back in 2015 when it was revealed that she was the surrogate mother of stepdaughter Shayne! In 2014 Shayne suffered a miscarriage and Richie had to make the devastating, life-saving decision to have doctors perform an emergency hysterectomy — which caused Shanye to lose her baby and her ability to carry future children on her own.
Shayne said after revealing that her stepmother was her surrogate for son Lyon, “Somebody else carrying your baby is weird. But I lost my son, and now Shawna is carrying my son. I have just been given the biggest blessing in the whole world and I will always be grateful.”
