Jackass star Steve-O arrested for pulling a Steve-O

Jackass star Steve-O went and got himself arrested last night, after he drew emergency responders to a Hollywood construction site, and climbed a crane towering at least 100 feet above ground in order to protest against SeaWorld.

The first police at the scene were unsure if Steve-O–real name Stephen Glover–needed to be rescued from the apparatus. Firefighters prepared a cushion in case of a fall, according to the L.A.P.D..

Steve-O streamed video of the stunt, in which, after he climbed the crane, he held aloft a large inflatable whale and a message in protest of SeaWorld. At one point during the shenanigans, he set off fireworks from the tip of the crane.

Glover climbed down just before nine local time and was taken into custody.

Accompanying a video posted to Facebook, Steve-O wrote, “Anyone wanna bail me out of jail?”
