American Idol’s Katharine McPhee no longer having extramarital affair with Smash director

Back on October 22, American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee was caught kissing Michael Morris, who directed her in the NBC musical Smash which crashed in the ratings and is no longer on the air. This would usually be no big deal for two married people, the problem was that they weren’t married to each other!

Now People is stating that married McPhee is no longer in a relationship with married Morris. Their source said, “Katharine is no longer seeing Michael – at least for now.”

McPhee is still married to producer Nick Cokas (photographed together above left) while Morris is still married to actress Mary McCormack (photographed together above right). Morris and McCormack have 3 daughters together.

McPhee and Cokas have been separated for months and Morris is believed to have been kicked out by his wife after he tried to unsuccessfully purchase the incriminating photo before it went public.

People’s source stated that McCormack was focused on raising her daughters while adding, “This is an incredibly hard time for Katharine.”
