Queen-of all media in her own mind Tyra Banks has mostly kept her relationship with 52-year-old investment banker John Utendahl on the DL for the past three years, but now she’s finally stepping out with her rumored fiance.
They reportedly started dating in 2007, and many believe they’ve been engaged since August 2009, when Tyra was seen leaving a restaurant sporting a gold ring on her betrothal finger.
Utendahl began his career in finance in 1982 at Salomon Brothers, and then Merrill Lynch. In 1992 he founded his own, African American investment firm Utendahl Capital Partners.
This firm performed well, especially after securing a lucrative deal with Pepsi in 1998, but it filed for bankruptcy and was dissolved into Williams Capital January of this year.
He began working for Deutsche Bank this April.
Even though Utendahl’s business has been flondering in this economy, his honey’s is booming. The television personality and fantasy novel author pulled in $30 million last year.
