This is seven-month-old Mona, a beagle mix who found a few brief moments of unadulterated freedom on the field of a Northwest Arkansas Naturals Minor League baseball game. She was there to work as part of the “Iams Adoptable Pet of the Game,” but after she was strutted on the field on a leash, she broke free and circled the baseball players like she owned the field.
And just to prove that she owned the field, she took a little squat and pooped. No one else challenged her with a bigger poop, so it’s safe to say that that’s still Mona’s field. Nature abides by a higher law than the rules of baseball.
