Real Housewives of Nashville: Coming soon?!

Is there going to be a Real Housewives of Nashville?

The Real Housewives franchise may be getting one city bigger. Although Bravo’s head honcho, Andy Cohen, has previously said that there will be no more cities added, a new ad seems to hint that there will be one more based in Nashville, Tennessee!

The ad posted on Nashville Scene claims that Real Housewives producers are searching for a new group of women to be featured in a new docu-series for a major cable network. Could that series be titled Real Housewives of Nashville? The ad claims that they are searching for “successful, powerful WOMAN, single or married, with an outstanding personality, who frequents the Nashville social scene.” If the shoe fits!

Although two of the last three Real Housewives installments (D.C. and Miami) have not done well in the ratings and one franchise (New York) is steadily losing viewers, Bravo may want to give their luck one more shot. Plus, with all the success they’ve had in New Jersey, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, and Orange County, it may be worth the risk. Bravo had previously tried to mount a Texas-based franchise but when casting wasn’t going as planned, the idea got canned.

That being said, Andy Cohen calls the shots and he doesn’t seem on board with the idea. “I really feel like we’re done,” he told the New York Post last year. “We’re pleased with the number of cities and locations we currently have.”  Also, the ad says it will be a “new series” which seems to clearly insinuate that it will be the beginning of something completely different.
