Songstress Mariah Carey channeled Jessica Rabbit for a sultry performance at the 2014 BET Honors… And credit is definitely due to Mariah’s tailors for helping her avoid a wardrobe malfunction while writhing around on the piano top in the ultra low-cut dress.
Other performers for the night included Smokey Robinson and Jennifer Hudson — the latter of whom sported her own low-cut dress.
“You need to embrace yourself, find those things that you love about yourself and know that no one is like you, and own being you,” Jennifer told USA Today on the red carpet.
The show was held at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 8. Even though there were emotional tributes to Aretha Franklin, Berry Gordy, Jr., Ice Cube and the late Nelson Mandela, host Wayne Brady kept the evening light and entertaining.
The recorded show will air on BET on Feb. 24 at 9/8.
