After seeing these photos you could argue that no celebrity owned the NYC more this summer than Nickelodeon’s lovable bi-lingual superstar Dora the Explorer.  Look how nervous RHNYC reality star Kelly Bensimon looks just standing in her presence!

Dora has turned ten. Actually, she will always be seven, but her show is a decade old now!  Not one to shy away from seeing the world, the explorer extraordinaire (along with her posse: Boots, Map, Swiper and the gang) have taken New York City by force, leaving in their wake a dust cloud of Dora sightings and celeb photo-ops.

Check out the following images of D-D-D-D-Dora as she surveys America’s financial system while ringing the closing bell for the New York Stock Exchange.  Map was specifically told to remain tight lipped because of his wealth of insider information:

Jay-Z step aside because D.T.E. is in an “Empire State of (and all our children’s) Mind.”  The NYSE wasn’t the only stop for this renowned traveler.  After making her way by a nasty troll at the gate bridge and narrowly escaping the spooky forest with an assist from Benny the Bull, Dora showed up for the “Beyond the Backpack Kicks off Auction of Celebrity Backpacks” at Macy’s Herald Square store.

For “Beyond the Backpack” Macy’s displayed 12 originally designed backpacks for auction from the following list of Dora-worshipping celebrities:  Jessica Alba, Drew Brees, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, LeBron James, Heidi Klum, John Leguizamo, Eva Longoria Parker, Salma Hayek Pinault, Shakira, Slash, and Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves.  Proceeds from the sales will benefit the Children’s Defense Fund.

Here is an image of the special backpacks from charitybuzz where you can bid on your favoite.  Yum, yum, yum delicioso!

Bensimon is one thing but let’s take it up a few letters in the alphabet just like Dora would.  Can you say D-list?  Good.  Now let’s try C-list.  Great.  Can you say B-list?  You’re really good at this letter game!  O. K. one more letter… can you say A-list?  What did you say?  That’s right! Uma Thurman is an A-lister!  We did it!

What did you say?  You have a C-lister for me called Wendy Williams.  Wow I couldn’t have done NYC without you!

Congratulations on your anniversary Dora! With your busy schedule I’m sure it’s almost time for you to vamanos so I’ll see you next time, but before leaving let me give you a word of advice from the reality TV neck of the woods.  If you see Kelly Bensimon coming towards you and Boots you have to say: “Kelly no Crazy.”  That crazy housewife fox is always trying to coo-coo your stuff.

****UPDATE – Could Dora be pairing up with Kelly Bensimon and the rest of The Real Housewives of New York City for a film project?!? CLICK HERE to find out!
