PHOTO: Oriental Yeti discovered in China

Now if that came wandering out of your neighborhood woods and looked to snoot around your garbage for some food you would certainly remember it!

This thing? beast? hairless unknown? was caught by hunters in the Sichuan province of China after area citizens reported what they thought was a bear (as good a guess as anything else!).  Hunter Lu Chin, one of the finders, stated the following about this newly discovered Earth inhabitant:

“It also does not sound like a bear, it has a voice more like a cat and it is calling all the time.  Perhaps it is looking for the rest of its kind or maybe it’s the last one?   There are local legends of a bear that used to be a man and some people think that’s what we caught”.

We think the locals may be on to something! Starcasm also thinks this creature might have once been a man and we’d like to suggest a scientific name for him:  NickNolteMugShoYetium

There certainly does seem to be a resemblance, which doesn’t bode well for the Oriental Yeti.

Lu Chin also stated that the NickNolteMugShoYetium “doesn’t have any fur and has a tail like a kangaroo.”.  The animal is being moved to Beijing where scientists will research this new creature and probably come up with a name nowhere near as cool as we did.
