44-year-old Minnie Driver was photographed earlier in the week in a bikini and the negative feedback from ever-present trolls incensed the actress as she announced she was stepping off of Twitter.
The About a Boy actress was on vacation in Miami with her 5-year-old son Henry when the photos were taken. Apparently enough was enough for the British star as she let followers know she was sick and tired of the bashing:

In a stroke of strange timing, Driver had just recently discussed how much she loved the popular social media site in an interview with ABC News:
“I’m mad about it! It’s where I get my news from these days. As a celebrity, it’s having a forum where you can answer the nonsensical rubbish that is written about you or not engage with that. It’s given a little bit of control back. I love it.”
It’s disappointing that people suck on a major level when it comes to saying hateful things via Twitter, Facebook and the like but, sadly, it comes with the territory. As a guy who’s had a crush on Minnie ever since she was the object of desire in Good Will Hunting – I think she still looks fabulous. So how you like dem apples haters!?!
Anyways, I hope she hops back on and learns the difficult art of tuning out the noise.
