I kissed a… Martian?
Another new song from Katy Perry’s upcoming second album has hit the internet! The song is called “Futuristic Lover” and it plays on an extraterrestrial metaphor with lines like “wanna be your victim, ready for abduction” and “you’re from a whole ‘nother world, a different dimension.” This seems to support my theory that Russell Brand is actually from another planet! I knew it!
Katy Perry has an old friend on board for her sophomore effort, Lukasz Gottwald. Gottwald, or “Dr. Luke” as he is more commonly known, produced Perry’s debut smash One Of The Boys that is already double platinum and features three top ten singles, two of which – “I Kissed A Girl and “Hot ‘N’ Cold” – were co-written by Dr. Luke. Also on the Doc’s resume are Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK,” Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend,” as well as Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” and “Since U Been Gone.”
He talked with Entertainment Weekly back in January, immediately after work had begun on the new project, and told the site, “Literally, yesterday was our first day, but it was amazing.” He later seemed optimistic that the pair would be able to recreate the success of Katy’s first effort.
