Martin Short’s wife of 30 years, Nancy Dolman, has died

Actor and comedian Martin Short’s wife of 30 years, Nancy Dolman, has died at the age of 58.

Short’s manager, Marc Gurvitz, confirmed the sad news. According to E News Dolman has been battling cancer since 2007.

CNN is reporting that the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call from emergency medical help at the Short’s Pacific Palisades home on Saturday morning.  This is according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey who also went on to say that no one was transported from the home.

Martin Short made his name on “Saturday Night Live” and as a flamboyant wedding planner in the extremely popular “Father of the Bride” movie franchise.  Short and Dolman married in 1980 after many years of courtship.  The Canadian couple met while working together during the 1972 Toronto production of “Godspell.”

Dolman had a continuing role on the show “Soap” but retired in 1985 to raise her three children; Katherine, Oliver, and Henry.
