Just days after appearing on a magazine cover after a makeover, it’s rumored that Caster Semenya might be a hermaphrodite.

International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) ordered gender tests for South African Caster Semenya, a muscular female runner who has masculine features and extraordinary physical ability for a female athlete. The Sun, and The Sydney Morning Herald are claiming that Semenya is a hermaphrodite. The male organs in question are a set of internal testes in lieu of a womb or ovaries. According to these reports, her external organs are presumably female.

She is listed as a female on her birth certificate, urine tests have also indicated that she’s a female, and IAAF is telling everyone to sit tight because the official results of her tests have not been released yet despite reports from The Sun and The Sydney Morning Herald , which have not listed sources.

In July the young, previously unknown runner jumped onto the scene at the African Junior Championship, setting a record for the year by a second. People questioned her prowess, as well as her running style, which differed from the other female runners.
