James left Noella and their son James Jr. this summer and James filed for divorce from Noella in Puerto Rico. She called the Puerto Rican divorce “fraudulent,” but he says that they had established permanent residency there and a judge granted the divorce in December 2020. Now, on Real Housewives of Orange County, Dr. Jen is questioning whether Noella and James were ever married at all. What’s the truth?

New Real Housewives of Orange County castmember Noella Bergener is going through a messy divorce, and things got even crazier when James addressed the public on Christmas Eve. Noella has responded to the “lies” she said he told in these videos (including that they are already divorced,) and has appealed to the masses to send a message to James via Instagram.

When Noella Bergener signed up for Real Housewives of Orange County, she had no idea her short marriage was going to implode onscreen. Right before filming began, Noella found out about a massive tax debt her husband “Sweet James” Bergener had been hiding from her. Even though she was shocked and disgusted, she wanted to pay the debt and move on with her marriage. Sweet James had other plans. He cut off her credit cards and sent her surprise divorce papers written in Spanish. She had to have her housekeeper help her read them.
