Sometimes man's best friend turns out to be The Man's best friend. This lesson was learned the hard way by Riviera Beach, Florida's Avery Davis on Monday. According to a police report, 26-year-old Avery was attempting to run from police with an arm full of stolen hair care products when he instructed his pit bull to attack the officers. Avery's plan bit him in the ass, however, as his pit bull literally bit him in the ass instead.

Police recommend charge against pro-gun activist shot by 4-year-old son

Police in Florida are pursuing a charge against Jamie Gilt, a mother and pro-gun activist, who was accidentally shot by her 4-year-old son while driving her husband's truck on March 8. The story garnered worldwide headlines when it was revealed that Gilt is an outspoken advocate of gun rights. The day before the shooting occurred, Gilt posted on Facebook about how her son "gets jacked up to target shoot with the .22."
