Welcome to Plathville’s Kim Plath is staying out of the family’s main home because she finds it hard to live in the same house as Barry. Lydia confronted her about the fact that the three youngest daughters still need their mother in the house. In many ways, Lydia, who is a grown adult with a full-time job, has picked up a lot of the mother role in the house. Now that the family is discussing the fact that dad Barry will soon move out of the family’s main home, Lydia is considering moving in with him instead of staying with mom Kim and the younger siblings.

On tonight’s episode of Welcome to Plathville Olivia Plath finally explained in detail how she was traumatized by her mother-in-law Kim Plath.

Tensions are high between Moriah Plath and her sister-in-law and roommate Olivia Plath over a visit to deceased Plath sibling Joshua’s grave for his birthday. Moriah arranged the family get together to celebrate Joshua’s memory, but the graveside memorial soon turned to drama between Olivia and Moriah when mom Kim Plath decided to come as well.

Ethan Plath says he now feels a “pang of resentment” over the fact that his mom Kim Plath’s current behaviors are in contradiction to how she raised her children for the majority of their lives.
