Catfish co-host Max Joseph has always been an adamant supporter of the LGBT community and proponent of LGBT rights, but he is angered that people's attention is on Bruce Jenner coming out as transgender in the wake of the earthquake in Nepal that has claimed the lives of more than 4,000 people, as well as the protests in Baltimore and "another black life snuffed out at the hands of the police."

Should we call Bruce Jenner he or she? GLAAD issues statement/tip sheet

Although Bruce Jenner was quite clear when telling Diane Sawyer "I am a woman" in Friday night's 20/20 interview (watched by nearly 17 million people!), Diane referred to Bruce throughout with masculine pronouns, explaining later that was still Bruce's preference at this time. Bruce declaring quite clearly that he is a woman, yet still wanting to be referred to using masculine pronouns, has caused a bit of a conundrum for those wishing to talk about the interview and Bruce in the "correct" way. GLAAD has since issued a "Tip Sheet" with "transgender terminology and tips for covering Bruce Jenner's ABC interview" in which they clearly state the accepted way to talk about Bruce.
