While many of us were out shoveling the snow yesterday to get to work, U.S. Soccer’s Charlie Davies was enjoying some fun in the sun on the shores of Hawaii.
Davies was not just there so we could stare longingly at his physique, he was enjoying the Pacific paradise so that his wife Nina Stavris could also stare longingly at his physique (known as a #honeyswoon).
Davies missed out on the 2010 FIFA World Cup after he was a passenger in an SUV that crashed on the George Washington Parkway in Washington D.C. in October of 2009. The horrible accident cost the life of another passenger while Davies suffered multiple injuries including a lacerated bladder, fractured right tibia and femur, a fractured elbow, multiple facial fractures, and bleeding on the brain.
The 26-year-old striker has recovered from those injuries and currently plays for Danish side Randers.
