Bachelorette Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski end engagement

The BachelorBachelorette romance making franchise has taken another hit as Bachelorette Jillian Harris and her showmance husband Ed Swiderski have called it quits, ending their engagement which took place during last year’s season finale.

Us Magazine is reporting the sad if not shocking news on the latest romantic demise haunting the very popular ABC Bachelor franchise.  Problems started back in August when it was rumored that Swiderski juggled two girlfriends while romancing Harris on the 5th season of the ABC show (and even slept with one after proposing to Harris, but before the finale aired).

Harris, 29, stated:

“I love him and I’m really sad, but I have to look out for me.”

Swiderski, 30, was a little more forthcoming in explaining the split:

“We’re both kind of resetting. Jillian isn’t happy and I’m definitely sad about the whole thing, but we’ve got to work through some things on our own if we decide to move forward.”

There isn’t any indication that there will be separation fireworks like we are witnessing between Jake and Vienna nor is this couple giving off that publicity grab vibe.  It just looks like things didn’t work out.  Here is a video montage of the two from happier times set to the now ironic tune “Unbreakable” by Wildlife:

With Jillian and Ed on the rocks that leaves only one couple left standing from all the seasons of the Bachelorette: Trista and Ryan Sutter (1-5).  On top of that sad fact is that the Bachelor only has one remaining match as well: Jason and Molly Mesnick (1-13).  If you’re keeping heartbreak score at home that is a combined 2-18.
