VIDEO: New Michigan head coach Brady Hoke on Letterman

Michigan head coach Brady Hoke on Letterman

After considering big time names like Jim Harbaugh and Les Miles the storied college football program at Michigan University has hired Brady Hoke as the new head football coach.  While he may have not been the big splash name many Wolverine fans were hoping for many insiders feel like the coach will be a perfect fit for the program.

I was able to hunt down the following clip of Hoke from back in December of 2008 as he runs down a funny list of the Top 10 moments from the Ball State football season for Letterman.  At the time Hoke was the head coach at Ball State and had managed to get the small program national recognition and ranking.  Being the big dog at Michigan is no laughing matter but this clip shows Hoke can be funny, if not a little stiff, when he wants to:

I especially liked number 3 which I chose for the top image.  “Beat Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Southern Michigan, Southwestern Michigan and Mexican Michigan.”

Number one on all Michigan fans minds now is “Beat Ohio State.”  He’s already received support from previous Michigan stars Tom Brady and Charles Woodson.  Good luck to coach Hoke as he tries to lead Michigan back to BCS title dreams so that maybe the Maize and Blue can be the team to lose to some SEC school in the big game.  Zing!
