After a rocky engagement and 20-month marriage, Dakota Meyer has reportedly moved out and filed for divorce from Bristol Palin.
The Daily Mail‘s source says that Dakota moved out of their Texas house around Christmas and filed the divorce paperwork two weeks ago. The couple married in a private ceremony in June of 2016, which was just over a year after Bristol called off their first scheduled trip down the aisle due to Dakota’s “secret” first marriage.
After making headlines for her last minute cancellation of their wedding, Bristol Palin was soon being talked about again after she revealed the following month that she was pregnant with her ex-fiance Dakota’s baby.
The couple’s daughter Sailor Grace was born in December of 2015. After Bristol and Dakota reconciled and got married, they welcomed their second child together, Atlee Bay, on May 8, 2017.
Bristol also has a nine-year-old son, Tripp, from her previous two-time fiance Levi Johnston.
TMZ also reported on the split earlier today and confirmed that they are no longer living together, but the site’s diligent legal eagles could find no record of a divorce filing. “It’s unclear what arrangements the exes have made — if any — for temporary child custody,” they report, “but Dakota posted video Monday of him with the kids.”
The site points out that neither Bristol nor Dakota have been wearing their wedding rings in recent photos and videos posted online. Here are a couple of examples from Instagram, both from the past week:
